🌍 Story / Background:

After played the other arrangements from Bizet opera "Carmen", I wanted to combine alle the favoutite passages into an own piece. Sarasate was very good, but I missed some passages here. Waxman was too much "circus play", so I mixed some placed from all of them, mostly the Drdla Carmen Fantasy into an own arrangement. In the live recording I still arranged some places in my mind, If you listen carefully you can probably recognize these passages.

Obwohl es mehrere bekannte Arrangements zu Bizets Oper "Carmen" bereits gibt, fand ich keine so richtig passend für mich zum Spielen. Sarasates Fassung ist etwas kühl/einfach, Waxman zu sehr Zirkus.. Bis ich einen Tipp bekommen habe, dass die Drdla Fassung einfach, effektiv und wirkungsvoll ist. Diese habe ich mit ein paar Passagen erweitert und verändert. Noch während den Live Konzerten habe ich Teile im Kopf frei arrangiert, was man an der einen oder anderen Stelle erkennen mag.
